Challenge
Eurostar was required by the UK Home Office to supply details of passengers leaving the UK for “UK Exit Checks” to be implemented by April 2015.
Approach
Eurostar conducted a test phase to compare many products in the market and to find out what would be the best solution. A complementary solution based on full page scanners made by Desko to capture data from damaged or non-machine readable passports was developed as well as a web application for manual entry.
Results
